Vasja Bočko is the CEO of Iryo.io, a blockchain based healthcare startup. He has has a background in finance and political science and briefly worked in the financial industry, before deciding to dive into the IT world. He worked for a Swiss startup delivering a music streaming service and then joined 3fs, a software powerhouse, focused on building and maintaining cloud based digital products. There he was involved with what was, at the time, the biggest social media network in Mexico, at its peak serving more traffic than Yahoo in the United States. He also worked as a digital product consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Before starting Iryo, he was a product manager at the cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp.
Vasja believes blockchain technologies have the potential to revolutionize industries that have traditionally seen few advances through IT. With the Iryo team he wants to build a next generation healthcare platform addressing healthcare data security, interoperability and exchange.
